The gig is up; the Tea Party is another Party Unity My Ass (PUMA) stunt devised and manipulated by Republican strategist in order to serve the will of Republican Party moguls. The PUMA movement, remember, was organized around the apparent rift that existed between Democratic supporters of former senators Clinton and Obama to the benefit of the Republican Party presidential candidate and to the demise of former Sen. Obama. The Tea Party has since taken up where PUMA left off and attached a so-called conservative agenda to its mission; strengthening the Republican Party by purging the party of moderates and “unacceptables;” propelling Republican Party backed candidates; and serving as a recreational outlet for anti-government and anti-Obama proponents. Despite Tea Party claims of independence, thus far, only Republican Party candidates have benefited from tea party involvement. There is no question the Republican Party is throwing the Tea Party, and as time moves forward this will become more obvious.
